Taft’s Parent Giving Initiative supports the Taft Fund — the school’s annual giving program that impacts every part of your child’s experience. Along with the endowment, the Taft Fund bridges the gap between tuition and the true cost of a Taft education.
It supports everything that makes Taft so special — dorm life, afternoon activities, athletics, the arts, and, of course, the exceptional faculty who bring learning to life every day.
Active Goals:
- Meet & exceed last year's mark of 72% parent/family participation in this initiative (420 families total needed to meet this goal)
Completed Goals:
- 300 total gifts to the Parent Giving Initiative by Day of Giving (April 23, 2026) [SURPASSED]
- 100 additional gifts from current parents and families in December [SURPASSED!]
Will you participate in this initiative to strengthen the Taft experience for all? Every gift—of any size—helps Tafties thrive.
One of Taft’s proudest traditions is parent participation. Historically, more than 90% of current parent families have supported the Taft Fund each year—a remarkable show of community spirit and the goal for which we strive annually. Every gift sustains Taft’s mission. Together, your support ensures that all Tafties can learn deeply, build purpose, serve generously, pursue excellence, and lead with courage. To reach 90% parent participation this year, we'll need contributions from more than 530 current Taft families.
For the 2025-2026 fiscal year (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026), the Taft Fund goal is $6.5 million, and typically, current parent giving accounts for about 50% of the overall goal.
